Black Is Beautiful (But Not Always)

In my recent article, entitled, “What have you done with Jesus?” I wrote, “Sin. A three letter word for “black and ugly” stuff that God cannot, and will not, stand to look upon on any man.”

This offended someone. He wrote me back saying that the term was rather derogatory in nature and that I shouldn’t use it. (He himself has black skin color). Well, let me clear the air first of all by saying, I certainly never meant to offend anyone. Permit me, to explain to you what I was thinking about at the time, which I believe will help you to better understand where I was coming from.

Many years ago, I had a prophetic dream in which I was applying “mouth to mouth” resuscitation to a boy who looked “dead”. This boy was what you might call a “rejected” boy. Just prior to this, I had to remove a muzzle from off his face (like a dog muzzle). And I asked my family (symbolic, I believe, of my Christian family) to pray for me. What does this symbolism represent? Apparently, God was using me to remove some type of demonic hindrance in one or more persons who then “come back to life” — in other words, they were able to live normally once again, being effective Christians like God had called them to be!

As Jesus said, “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.” (John 15:8)

This is God’s will for each and every one of us. But circumstances in life can lead to feelings of rejection. Demonic bondage is a very real possibility for those who have not been raised in godly families or who have engaged in any type of sinful practice.

There are people who need help. Perhaps you are a person who is reading these articles, and you find yourself being helped by them. I believe that writing articles like this can be a fulfillment, or partial fulfillment, of what this dream is getting at. A proper biblical education is essential in order to become all that we are intended to become by God. As Christians, we all have a testimony to share, which is why I encourage people to send in their testimonies for publication — because you, too, if you are a Christian, have the ability to minister to others. As we share testimonies, and good teachings, it leads to life.

Jesus said, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31b-32)

In the dream, some black liquid trickled out of the person’s mouth as soon as I applied the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. This “dead-looking person” came back to life! It worked!

There is enough evidence to suggest that this black liquid represents demonic bondage. It represents deliverance and freedom. Hence, the boy came back to life! He was set free by the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation! New life was put into him, and I trust that, as you read these articles, that new life will be put into you, as well!

Who was that boy? He appears to represent a very needy person who needs life. Perhaps you know someone who needs life today.

Take the time to share with that young man, or woman, or person of any age who needs help, the life that comes through Jesus. I would encourage you to send them a link to this website, or to any website that you find brings encouragement in the word of God.

So, as to the “black and ugly” stuff that God cannot, and will not, stand to look upon on any man — well, that is what I had in mind, when I wrote those words. But if you are black in color, then “black is beautiful!” I certainly would not want there to be any confusion about that!
