Fisher of Men

What a God I have, to give up His Son
To lure me and save me from sin.
I swam in waters dark and gray,
But He was a fisher of men.

I followed in schools of earthly ways,
Where the leader’s name was Sin.
But, then my Master Jesus died,
So His blood could reel me to Him.

Though hooked, I tried to wriggle away,
For I feared of what would come.
But little did I understand,
His net was a net of love.

For now by waters edge I stand,
And eagerly cast my rod.
For now I am a fisher of men;
I’m a fisher of men like my God.
