Guilty As Charged!

To Terry: New-Ager par excellence, destined for hell, on account of your lack of experience.

If I was to say to my good friend Ed Robinson’s mother (she is now deceased), “Mrs. Robinson, there is not only one Ed; there are actually many!” she would respond by saying, “No, but there is only one Ed. That is my Ed. I know him. And there is only one such Ed in the whole wide world.” Mrs. Robinson would know that there was only one such Ed. She would know, because, she was his mother.

Now New-Agers that say that there is more than one “Jesus” are damning their own souls and going against the very grain of all that makes sense. For if I was to say to his father (God), “Dear Father, there is more than one Jesus; there are actually many Jesus’s,” he would laugh in reply, and say back to me, “No, but you are sadly mistaken. There are not many Jesus’s; there is only one such Jesus. I know my son. There is only one!”

Now New-Agers have a fundamental problem, and, as paradoxical as this sounds, I must be honest with you as to what it is: they lack experience! They lack the experience of being able to see Jesus crucified on a cruel cross. Put two-plus-two together. Jesus said many things. And they came to pass. That is simple, isn’t it? No, but it is much too complicated for New Agers who say that there are “many” Jesus’s!

Jesus thought that putting two-plus-two together was rather easy, when he said, “When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” (John 8:24) Again, Jesus said, “Now I tell you before it come, that, when it [my crucifixion] is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.” (John 13:19) What was he saying? He was saying, “When you see me crucified on a cross, you will know that I am who I said I was all along — the Messiah, God’s Holy One sent to redeem you from your sins — because I accurately foretold these things while I was still with you.”

Jesus prophesied it many times. “… the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death” (Matthew 20:18). “…the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners” (Matthew 26:45). God had said it many times before that, in the Old Testament. “…they pierced my hands and my feet.” (Psalm 22:16) “…and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son…” (Zechariah 12:10)

Did not God speak clearly, hours, weeks, nay, years (even centuries) before it came to pass? Is God without excuse? Yes! He is without excuse! Is God to be blamed? No! He is not to be blamed. But we are to be blamed for our hardness of heart! For if the things told in the Scriptures had been explained to a little child, they would have received it a long time ago. But because of our hardness of heart, we “rationalize away” what is truth, and exchange it for the damnation of our own souls.

I say, the very thing that New Agers claim to have the most of is the very thing that New Agers need the most: supernatural experience. But they will not find it in Sceances, or Ouji Boards, or Palm Reading, or in trying to communicate with the dead. No, but rather, the Source of their information must come from their Creator Himself, who gave of himself through his one and only son, that they might be able to live. The experience they need? They need to see Jesus, crucified on that cross! When they see him, they will realize that Jesus was who he said he was: the Messaih, God’s Holy One sent to redeem them fro their sins. But they won’t see it, unless they are willing to forsake all that is evil, all that is wrong! For God will never ever show them this vital piece of information, unless they are willing to forsake all, and follow him. (So this is only for the serious, be forewarned).

Be forewarned, New Agers! Unless you are willing to lay down your many sins that grieve a holy God, you shall never enter the gates of heaven! “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” (John 3:19-21)

So what is your choice? Are you going to lay them down so that you may find a better life and see Jesus, who is high and lifted up, whose robe fills the temple of God, who is your Savior, and who alone holds the keys to heaven and hell? Or, are you going to believe that deception that you were brought up with, that is ready to snatch your soul to the irredeemable grave at any second, so that once there, you many never ever return? (No, not ever!)

I leave you with these sobering words of Jesus. Meditate on them! “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” (John 8:24)
