I’m Sorry

On behalf of that official from the Canadian government, whose unbridled mouth labelled George W. Bush as a “Moron” last week, making headline news in the nation’s capital where I live, I sincerely apologize. The Canadian government, once again, did a dumb thing. This is the same government that laughed at a political leader named Stockwell Day, a born again Christian, for his stance on abortion.

Day, I admit, was not strong enough when he had the chance. He should have rallied strong those opposed to abortion, without shame, and without wavering declare all abortionist and those who support them to be baby killers, which they are. But he would not. Instead, he backed down and tried to dim the flame of passion over this issue. Big mistake. I imagine that, from the divine perspective, it cost him his job, for within about a year from the time that he got elected as head of the opposition party, he was replaced by another.

God is not looking for people who are half-hearted over this issue, who will back down when someone challenges their religious beliefs and convictions on this issue, or any issue, which they hold dear to their heart. I am sorry for Stockwell Day. I love the guy as a brother in the Lord, but as a political leader he needs more passion without apology.

I do not apologize for calling abortionists baby killers. They are. They are baby killers, and one day they shall stand before the Great Judge. If, at that time, they have repented of their sins, which they have committed in killing babies for profit, and all other sins which they have committed, then the Bible teaches us that they will be pardoned by God, because God is gracious and willing to forgive, as long as repentance is sincere and there is a genuine humbling before God.

On the other hand, if abortionists and those who support them fail to repent of their sins, like all unbelievers they shall be cast into the lake of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. That shall be a place of utter darkness and despair, and there shall be no hope. Many in this category will include those who said in their hearts, “I can always repent later, but today I’ll keep on killing babies.” But it will be God who will have the last laugh. For those who think that they are in control and can do whatever they want in this life, without regard for their Maker, are sincerely mistaken. That day is coming when it shall be revealed!

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” (2 Peter 3:9-14)
