Testimony in Saudi Arabia

“Then [Jesus] continued by saying to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake. It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony. So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death, and you will be hated by all because of My name. Yet not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.'” (Luke 21:10-19, NASB)

It’s true. It’s absolutely true and verifiable. God is doing miracles in Saudi Arabia. So says a faithful non-Saudi Arabian witness who has lived there for many years. And the God we are talking about is Jesus Christ.

Here is just one story that comes “fresh” out of Saudi Arabia. There are many more. Many. Hundreds. Thousands. And so forth. But this is just one of them.

The man’s name we’ll call Ramsit. Ramsit was a strong Hindu believer. But Ramsit had a medical problem that the doctor’s could not solve! Then, one day, someone prayed for Ramsit in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Ramsit did not know it just then, but Jesus Christ totally healed him from his medical (blood sugar) problem.

When Ramsit went back to the doctor for his appointment, the doctor said to Ramsit, “You are totally healed. There is not one single sign left of your diabetes. Tell me, what did you do, and who is it that healed you?”

Ramsit, the former Hindu now living in Saudi Arabia, said, “Jesus Christ healed me.”

The doctor shot back quickly, and hit Ramsit, “Don’t say that Jesus Christ healed you! Say that Allah healed you!”

Ramsit insisted, “No, Jesus Christ healed me.”

The doctor was infuriated! The doctor called the authorities, who had Ramsit put in jail.

In jail, Ramsit continued to insist, “Jesus Christ healed me!”

Ramsit was tortured for his faith in Jesus Christ. Despite the torture, Ramsit continued to insist, and would not deny, “Jesus Christ healed me of my disease!”

Ramsit was later freed.

Here is how.

When Ramsit came to Saudi Arabia, he was sponsored by one of the Royal Officials related to the King of Saudi Arabia.

Ramsit was brought to the Royal Official who asked him, “Who healed you?” Ramsit insisted, “Jesus Christ healed me!”

The Royal Official said, “Well, then, can you please pray for my mother, because she too has diabetes and is very sick!”

Ramsit did not know much about prayer, but he did know who healed him. He went to the mother of the Royal Official and prayed for her in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Royal Official’s mother did not get instantly healed, but Ramsit did not give up. The Bible says that we should keep asking if we don’t receive our request. Ramsit continued to pray for the Royal Official’s mother.

Within a few days, the Royal Official’s mother was totally healed!

Ramsit then decided to go back to his home country. But there was an unexpected surprise waiting for him. Ramsit’s relatives wanted to kill him because of his faith in Jesus Christ. Ramsit did not stop giving glory to God and saying that Jesus Christ was the one who healed him!

Today, Ramsit is a free man, and preaches Jesus Christ wherever he goes, and to whomever will listen. But Ramsit needs your prayers. And so does Saudi Arabia.

Dear Christian friend, do you see how God is opening eyes in formerly closed countries? Yes, our God is able to do much more than this, too! But we must continue to pray, and persevere, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Great God and Savior.

“Dear heavenly Father, we ask right now that you would put your hand of protection upon Ramsit and his immediate family. We ask that you would protect them from the evil one. We ask that you would use him mightily in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that you would bless Ramsit and give him wisdom beyond his years. We ask that you would lay your hand upon him and rescue him from every evil situation. For it is in Jesus Christ’s name that we pray. Amen!”
