When the devil comes down hard

You really need to read this. I don’t care if you’re young or old, happy, or sad, you really need to read this. Please. Do it for your sake. And do it for the sake of others that God will bless through you as you put into practice what I am about to tell you. This is a victory – a 100% victory that cannot be snuffed out. This is an incredible, victorious, victory.

Now, pause for a moment. Can you say that about your life at this very moment? If you are even remotely thinking, “I’m not so sure I have the victory in the midst of my circumstances right now,” then that’s proof positive this article really is FOR YOU PERSONALLY! This article guarantees you the victory, if you will only put into practice what I am about to tell you. It’s glorious. It’s amazing. And it’s supernatural. This article is going to tell you point blank how to invoke the supernatural blessings of God. If 1 out of a 100 of you put it into practice, it will be a victory. Yes, just one. Be foolish enough to take me up on my advice, and just see what happens.

Now I’ve shared this before, but this is a strong strong lesson that God has been teaching me throughout — well, I’m not so sure how long now, but months, anyway — about how to live the abundant, victorious, life, despite your circumstances. In fact, the WORSE OFF YOU ARE, THE MORE ABUNDANTLY YOU CAN INVOKE THIS BLESSING AND THE GREATER AND MORE AWESOME THE POWER YOU WILL EXPERIENCE. Oh, if I could only do an “immediate download” into your cerebral cortex right now, you’d see what I mean. But there is a way to prove for yourself that this really works.

What is it?

The “it” that I’m talking about is the power of declaration. The reference is Matthew 17:20 (among others):

“And He [Jesus] said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”

Okay. Let’s pull this passage apart QUICKLY but CONTEXTUALLY. Contextually, the passage is NOT saying you can do anything you like. Even though “nothing will be impossible to you” does at first glance appear to mean “anything you like”, it is not the case, because we are always constrained by the “entire counsel of God” which includes the whole Bible (see also 2 Timothy 2:15 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17). As an example, the Bible says we are not to sin and so that is not part of what Jesus is saying we can do here. Neither can we just go out (necessarily) and fetch a million dollars, because another part of the Bible says that we don’t receive because we ask with the wrong motives (James 4:3).

This passage is first talking to believers. Jesus is not speaking to unbelievers. So if you are not yet born again by God’s spirit, the first thing you need to do in order to enter into God’s promises is to become born again. Repent of your sin. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. Declare to others that he is coming back. Okay, you’re now on your way to entering into God’s wonderful abundant promises, which include Matthew 17:20.

Matthew 17:20 in the IMMEDIATE context refers to someone who had an EVIL SPIRIT which the disciples could not cast out (read Matthew 17:14-20). For the disciples were unable to cast out an evil spirit and Jesus responded by saying (prepare yourself, now …):

“O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you?” (Matthew 17:17) and “Because of your unbelief” (you could not cast it out) (Matthew 17:20a).

The passage, then, IN CONTEXT is that Jesus is saying that whenever the DEVIL or a DEMONIC POWER comes up against us, it does not matter how BIG or GREAT that force appears to be, NOTHING shall be impossible in terms of casting it out and getting rid of it.

In terms of application, I believe there is a much broader context, which is not only dispelling demonic principalities which may encroach upon our lives, but also invoking powerful supernatural blessings straight from the throne room of God!

May I ask you as question? Are you right now tempted to say, “I want to give up”, or “It’s no use, it does not work.” If so, you’re confession is WRONG because instead of speaking VICTORY that God commands us to (Matthew 17:20 above), you are in fact speaking destruction into your situation! Many people have died or become ineffective by making the wrong confession. In fact, EVERY PERSON WHO COMMITS SUICIDE HAS DONE SO BECAUSE THEY ARE SPEAKING LIES TO THEMSELVES ABOUT THEIR SITUATION.

Jesus says, “You can ACHIEVE the victory, if you will but SPEAK the victory.” It is so easy, it is ridiculous! So then, why would you persist, day after day, moment after moment, year after year even, making the wrong confession about who you are in Christ, and the victory that is laid up in store for you this VERY DAY?

I challenge you, by the living God, to BELIEVE God’s word and SPEAK to your mountain.

But if God SPEAKS TO YOU IN RETURN (and He will unless some sin is blocking the way), then you, in turn, need to be ready to DO WHAT HE SAYS in order to see that mountain moved out of your life!

Praise God! You can do it. And you have the victory, in Jesus name.
