When They All Find Out

“When they all find out how much power and authority they have …”

“Shut up you babbling fool!” Satan replied. “Don’t mention it! They won’t find out! I can assure you of that!”

“But boss,” devil minor replied, “how can you be sure of that? Remember, you said you were sure about the cross, and look what happened!”

“And what exactly do you mean by ‘And look what happened!'”? Lucifer retorted.

“Ah, common, boss, everyone knows what happened to Je” –

“Don’t say that word!” the devil shot back. “Enough! Enough of his name!”

“But boss, his name is all over the world! You put him on the cross the first time, and look what happened! You think you can go after his followers and win this war? Remember Lazarus? Remember Tabitha? Remember Eutychus? Remember the saints … er … the enemies from long ago, when you put him on that cross, how they all came out of their tombs! They’re even rising from the dead! It’s no stopping them! As they say, you can win the battle, but it looks like we’re not going to win this war!”

“Whose side are you on, anyway?” Lucifer answer.

“Boss, I’m on your side! But boss, I don’t know how we’re going to win. Some people are beginning to find out about their authority as Chr … as the people of the enemy, boss, as the people of the enemy. They’re finding out too much. We’ve got to stop them before it’s too late!”

“Enough!” the devil responded. “I want no more mention of his name. Not in my presence. Don’t ever let me here you saying his name again. And the enemy? Away with them all!”

“Boss, as you say. But boss …”

“Enough!”

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” (Revelation 12:7-12)
