The slaughter of the innocent yet to be born is no less tragic than the devastation wrought by the falling of the twin World Trade Towers in New York City two weeks ago.
But who weeps over these innocent ones?
Who sheds a tear?
Who pleads for their souls?
Who cries out for help on their behalf?
Thank-God, many do.
Many around the world are laboring to see the killing of the innocent unborn outlawed.
Not long ago I was passing through Syracuse, New York — the same state as where the tragedy struck — and I read this very large sign put up by a group that is opposed to the slaughter of the innocent unborn. It read, “Abortion has two victims. One dead. One wounded.”
Abortion is killing a life. And killing a life is wrong. Period.
The message has been proclaimed for many many years around the world.
It’s time to change our ways.
“If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works?” (Proverbs 24:11-12)
